We love to say ‘Thank You’ to our great Pumpjack & Piddlewick community who take an interest in our tales of our French life discoveries, our restoration garden and house work, our animals or, well, whatever it is that keeps you coming back for more.
We’re on Patreon, for those who would like to be more personally supportive of our restoration work on our old village house and garden in France. Your support helps us with purchasing supplies or hiring expertise where needed. It will actually make a difference to how quickly we can complete projects. And of course, we will be writing about it all as discoveries and new undertakings are made.
Partners and Policies
We’ve chosen to work with affiliates, here and there, to assist us bring more money in to our lives. An unfortunate necessary, we agree, but have you ever looked up the price of a wood chipper or wine press lately, even a second hand one?!
However, we have also chosen partners that allow us to stay honest and true to ourselves and our opinions. We will not endorse or recommend any item we wouldn’t be happy to own ourselves or any organisation we wouldn’t buy from.
Our Book Club
For our Vive le Livre Book Club we are affiliated with Amazon so that if you would like to read a book we recommend we are able to provide a direct link for you to order it. If you do follow our link and buy the book (whether kindle or the real deal), we will get a small (and we do mean pennies) percentage.
Why We Like Amazon
As Ex-pats abroad we use it a lot, because sometimes it is easier and cheaper(!) to get an item sent to us in France than buy it here. We like that there is an easy place to shop online for the basics and quirky, and so much more in between. Because of this, Pumpjack & Piddlewick have chosen specifically to be a part of the Amazon Services LLC Associates Program, an affiliate advertising program designed to provide a means for sites to earn advertising fees by advertising and linking to (in our case) amazon.co.uk. From time to time we may link to Amazon (like just now) for ingredients for recipes, to suggest an item, or even to recommend a tool we use in the vineyard. We will always let you know when it is an affiliated link (and when it is not).
Using our links will not cost you anything – other than the cost of the actual item, if you buy it of course – but it will be appreciated by us, and our animals. And for that, you get a heart felt Merci! (Woof! Meow! Quack!)
The Pumpjack and Piddlewick Shop
Visiting, ‘favouriting’ and (hopefully) purchasing from our Pumpjack and Piddlewick on Etsy Shop all helps… especially purchasing. There’s always a chance that you may not find that perfect something, doubtful, but still…, so please do come back next week, even tomorrow. We are always adding items to our shop. Custom orders and requests are welcome too.
And if you honestly can’t find something special at Pumpjack & Piddlewick, try our other two shops: French Silk Scarf, which sells, um, French silk scarves, particularly truly unique ones from the 1950s and 1960s); and Taking Time Too, which continues the vintage theme, but as a digital download. So if you are into junk journals, card making or paper crafts in general, like Piddlewick, this shop is right up your street.
See, something for everyone.
Whether you sign up to Pumpjack & Piddlewick, use a link or buy through us our affiliates, none of your personal information will be disclosed across partners. We will not receive any of your personal and/or financial details from our affiliates, in fact, we will not even know you are supporting Pumpjack & Piddlewick (unless you wish to tell us). Only through a purchase from Etsy will we receive your postal address, as we are the ones personally posting your item to you, but we will not share this information, nor make use of it beyond sending you your purchase.
