Alright, we’ll admit it. We watch Antiques Roadtrip, amongst others. We got hooked when we were living in other countries, partly a chance to see some of the best of British countryside (a taste of what was home) and partly, we love quality made things – and these days that generally means not made recently.
Here’s a simple taste that can be found in the French Vintage section of our shop. If you like the look of something below, simply click on the photo and find out more ~ and hopefully buy as we’re currently saving towards a tractor.
Pumpjack is a fantastic wood worker and is always looking at joinery in old furniture, whilst I (Piddlewick) have a particular weakness for vintage clothes and have collected them for years. If you are like me and enjoy your retro wear, have a look at our Vintage What to Wear and Scarves & Cravats sections.
Add in our, sometimes, quirky sense of humour and a love for animals, especially ducks, and we often find ourselves buying some fairly unusual items for our shop. Visit our Animal & Bird Lover Gifts section to see our selection.
Why Etsy? We like their ethos as a window to artists, crafters and independent businesses, like us. We shop there ourselves, as we know we will find unique, quality gifts, particularly for some hard to buy for relatives. And we are great believers in quality, so if it can be found in one place, whether old or new, that’s where we want to be.
Take a browse, and we’ll hope you buy something (so we can buy another oak barrel to store wine in.)
